This week Iyaz is out doing his domestic duties so we have Gigawhat‘s Derrick Chen filling in for him, though he is decidedly less angry than Iyaz. We have more crap from Tokyo Flash, a watch that makes you wanna vomit, A new way to save a life while simultaneously getting a girl out of her undies and a Glock for Granny. (Actually it’s a Walther PPK) Also, Aric is unimpressed by the homemade coil gun, Derrick defends the Peek and Andrew offends every minority group there is. Today Aric is back in the studio, er, at his studio, er, well, he’s not on the phone this time. Skype was very cooperative today and allowed us to discuss how much we don’t wanna get old, but if we do, we’re gonna mow those young punks, with their wacky fauxhawk hair cuts, pants on the ground and Justin Bieber records, straight the hell down!! We ponder over a turd on wheels (and that’s not a euphemism for Gizmodo’s reporting, which Iyaz gets into later), a magic pen that lets you neglect your children and how to stay clean without exerting to much effort. What you won’t hear is anything about a vegetable peeler. We definitely don’t talk about them in this show. If we had started to talk about one, it would have been edited out in post because that’s stupid and no one would wanna hear about that crap. Absolutely. No. Vegetable. Peelers.

Aric can’t get his act together and ends up phoning it in for this episode and that’s just one small piece of the myriad of technological issues we had bringing you this fine podcast. But hey, we pushed through! Why? Because we love you guys and are just that committed to bringing you quality programming. BSODs and Skype aside we had a great time. Iyaz goes fanboy over a Voltron flash drive while discounting Andrew’s own lion-based childhood. It’s been a slow week for gadgets, so we ended up with a lot of stuff from the Gizmodo, which leads Iyaz to a lovely rant about quality journalism. Jordan lends us his engineering expertiece to help determine if a child’s toy is intentionally phallic and the team nearly implodes after a heated argument about television aspect ratio.
